Stinger Privacy Policy

Stinger is a voice-first beekeeping assistant made by Saber Corporation. This page explains, in plain language, what data Stinger records, what it is used for, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how to delete it. The app states these same terms before you consent to anything; the app is never allowed to promise less than this page.

What Stinger records

That data runs the features you use: transcription, extraction, coaching, and the apiary map. Stinger contains no advertising and no third-party analytics.

How your data is handled

Who processes it

Stinger runs on Google Cloud. Firebase provides sign-in, storage, and messaging; Cloud Run hosts our servers; and Vertex AI (Google's Gemini models) transcribes and interprets your recordings. These services process your data only on our instructions, as service providers — they are not free to use it for their own purposes. Data is encrypted in transit, and the app itself is never allowed to write records directly: every change passes through our servers and their access checks.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time — the step-by-step guide is at stingerhq.com/delete-account.html. Deletion starts a 30-day countdown; sign back in any time before day 30 to cancel. On day 30 your sign-in and personal contact details are erased, and if you are the organization's sole owner, its voice recordings and chat transcripts are erased too.
