Delete your Stinger account

You can delete your Stinger account, and the personal data that goes with it, at any time. Deletion is started from inside the app — on your phone or tablet, or from the same app in a web browser — so we can be certain it is really you asking.

How to delete your account

Sign in to Stinger (the same sign-in you use in the app).
Open Settings → Account.
Under Danger Zone, choose Delete Account and confirm.

If you own an organization, the app will walk you through deleting the organization first — an organization can never be left without an owner. If other people still work in your organization, move them off first; the app will tell you.

The 30-day window

Deletion does not happen on the spot. Confirming starts a 30-day countdown, and on day 30 the deletion runs. Until then you can change your mind: sign back in, open the same screen, and choose Cancel Deletion. After day 30 the account and its data are gone and cannot be recovered.

What is deleted

Your sign-in (you will no longer be able to log in).
Your user profile, including your email address and phone number.
Invitations you created that were never accepted.
If you owned the organization: its voice recordings and chat transcripts are erased, and any plant-bloom photos you contributed are deleted, with the observations kept only in de-identified form (what was seen, when, and a rounded area — nothing that identifies you or the exact spot).

What remains

Your name stays on the organization's historical records — inspections you logged and work you were credited with are the organization's own business records, the same way a signature stays in a paper logbook. Your contact details are removed from them.
Billing records of the organization (amounts and dates) are kept as business records, with your identity de-referenced.
